Method

Rinse the rice, then cook it in a saucepan of simmering water for 12 to 15 minutes until tender.

Whisk the soy sauce and crushed garlic together in a small bowl.

Coarsely grate the carrot, slice the spring onions, and keep the peas ready by the hob.

Fry the beef mince in a non-stick frying pan over a medium-high heat for 7 to 9 minutes, breaking it up with a spoon until browned and piping hot.

Add the carrot and peas for 3 minutes until bright, then pour in the soy-garlic sauce and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until glossy.

Drain the rice and let it steam dry for 1 minute.
