Method

Heat the oven to 180C and lightly grease a small baking dish.

Core and dice the pears, then keep a spoonful aside for topping.

Whisk the eggs, milk, and ginger in a bowl for 1 minute, then stir in the oats until no dry patches remain.

Fold through most of the pear, spoon the mixture into the baking dish, and scatter the reserved pear over the top.

Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until set in the middle and lightly golden at the edges, then rest for 5 minutes before serving.
